2025 CLRA College Scholarship

 Timeline:

Purpose: CLRA is dedicated to help boys and girls of all backgrounds, with special concern for those from disadvantaged circumstances, develop qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders through affordable, educational and recreational activities; and to provide a safe, supervised environment in which to develop these qualities. To give back to these athletes, we'd like to offer a scholarship to a previous member. This will be awarded to a student athlete who exemplifies the qualities we hope to instill leadership and responsibility, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.

Award: CLRA is committed to offering a $500 scholarship to one male and one female student athlete, pursuing continuing education after graduation 2025.

Basic Eligibility:
To apply, students must have/be:
• A high school senior
• A former CLRA athlete
• A US citizen, national, or permanent resident
• In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
• Must plan to enroll at a US accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university
• Must have given back to CLRA as a volunteer or paid assistant coach, official, or camp host, etc. Ideal Candidate:

*An ideal candidate will:
• Be a previous athlete within one of CLRA’s seven sports programs.
• Demonstrated leadership ability (e.g., as shown through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities)
• Exceptional personal success skills (e.g., emotional maturity, motivation, perseverance, etc.)
